- Wanting a relationship where you feel loved, valued & respected?
- Craving a partner that inspires personal & spiritual growth?
- Desiring to be with someone who is present with you physically & emotionally?
- Longing for a relationship with someone who supports your dreams?
We all deserve a relationship that makes us feel this way, right? It's that special kind of connection that feels as grounding and soul-affirming as it does euphoric and ego-boosting. But here's the thing: if you don't know how to love, value, respect, inspire and support yourself as a single woman, imagine the heavy responsibility you're putting upon your significant other just to make you feel complete. A partner doesn't show up to simply fill a void in your life. A balanced partner will show up to support what you're already doing for yourself. After all, they've got needs too. So if you're depending on someone else for your self-worth, happiness and success, you're putting yourself in that regrettably damaging position of being an emotional deadweight in your relationship. The needy one. The one who completely loses herself in the context of love because you're relying on someone else to complete you.
Indie Girls, on the other hand, are all about self-love as a prerequisite to a romantic relationship. We know it's our responsibility to set the standard for how we want to be loved. So before trying to build a a partnership with someone else, we're busy building a loving relationship with ourselves; learning to trust ourselves and our choices, daring to be vulnerable while honoring our boundaries, and indulging in pleasure -- guilt free! We're busy nurturing our bodies, minds and spirits; releasing our inner-child and learning to take risks without fear. Yes, Indie Girls are single, independent, self-loving go-getters who don't need a significant other to have a significant life. That's not to say we don't want a significant other. We're just making sure we feel complete first, so we can approach a new relationship with integrity.
